Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of veteran-roadmap.com and app.veteran-roadmap.com (Claim Compass), operated by The Veteran Roadmap, a business operated by Andy Kurien based in Augusta, Georgia. By using this site, purchasing our products, or creating a Claim Compass account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Not Legal, Medical, or Financial Advice
This is the most important thing on this page. The Veteran Roadmap, including all guides, trackers, templates, blog content, and Claim Compass, is provided for general educational and organizational purposes only. Nothing on this site or within Claim Compass constitutes legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or a substitute for representation by an accredited Veterans Service Officer (VSO), attorney, or claims agent.
Andy Kurien is a former VA Community Care Specialist — that role involved coordinating scheduling and referrals for veterans accessing community care, not claims adjudication, legal representation, or medical practice. Nothing in his background or in this site's content should be read as official VA guidance or a guarantee of any outcome for your specific claim.
We strongly encourage you to work with an accredited VSO (a free resource) or a qualified attorney for advice specific to your situation. Decisions about your VA claim, benefits, or related legal matters should not be based solely on information from this site.
Our Products
We sell digital guides, trackers, templates, and toolkits through Etsy and other platforms, and offer Claim Compass as a subscription web application. Specific terms for each:
- Digital products (guides, trackers, templates): these are for your personal use. Because they're digital and delivered instantly, sales are generally final — if something is genuinely broken or not as described, contact us and we'll make it right.
- Claim Compass subscription: billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at signup) through Stripe. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us; cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.
Acceptable Use
When using this site or Claim Compass, you agree not to:
- Use the site or app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, Claim Compass, or our systems
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or tools for commercial purposes without permission
- Share your Claim Compass account credentials with others, or use the service to store or process information on behalf of people other than yourself
- Interfere with the normal operation of the site or app for other users
Intellectual Property
All content on this site — guides, templates, trackers, blog posts, and the Claim Compass application itself — is the property of The Veteran Roadmap, unless otherwise noted, and is protected by copyright. Purchasing a digital product grants you a personal-use license; it does not transfer ownership or grant you the right to resell, redistribute, or repost the content elsewhere.
Claim Compass Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Claim Compass account and password, and for all activity under your account. Information you enter into Claim Compass (dates, notes, documents) is yours — we store it to provide the service back to you and don't use it for any other purpose. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting [email protected].
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Nothing on this site, in our products, or within Claim Compass guarantees any particular outcome for your VA claim, appeal, or benefits application. VA decisions depend on the specific facts of your case, evidence, and VA's own review process — factors entirely outside our control.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Veteran Roadmap and Andy Kurien are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, our products, or Claim Compass, including but not limited to any claim outcome, financial loss, or decision made based on information provided here.
Third-Party Links & Services
This site links to and relies on third-party services (Etsy, Stripe, Amazon, Kit, Google Analytics, and others). We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party services — your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
